Texas Authors Institute of History is proud to encourage the future writers of Texas no matter what their age is.

One of our flagship programs is our Texas Students Short Story contest for grades 6 – 12. This contest was created in 2017, with the first book published in 2018. Below are the links to the various aspects of this program.

We have done writers workshops in the past but have chosen to let the over 400 writers groups in Texas to create programs in their local areas. We sponsor and support these programs in a variety of ways. More information will be listed below.
